EPD is a fast and efficient method to produce organic/inorganic coatings on metallic substrates. With simple adjustment of the applied potential, deposition time and suspension composition it is possible to control the thickness and microstructure of the deposited films. EPD offers many possibilities in terms of surface modifications of metallic materials for medical applications.
